2013 BOTB Champion Brad Shirey and Pretty Boy Bullion are back for another round!

The Best of the Best will be shining bright with the Qualifiers for 2014 – Read a little about them and what they have to say about their horse, favorite arenas and the people who inspire them the most.

Brad and Pretty Boy Bullion AKA Shrek are no strangers to the winners circle.  Most recently he went to Michigan at the Can Am and here is just a taste of how he finished.

They hold the 2013 BOTB Champion title among many others.  Brad not only qualified on Shrek but also another pretty mare named Perky and Pierre which is the same horse his daughter Madeline qualified on. – You can read more about her later in the weeks to come.

What is the name of your horse?

Pretty Boy Bullion

When and Where did you qualify for the BOTB?

The Race was on 3/8/14 and held at Champions Center Springfield Ohio

What are the bloodlines of your horse? He is by bully bullion out of a daughter of dash ta fame.

Can you name one or more people who inspire your riding?  Have to say Max McKee.

What is your best memory of you and your horse as a team?

Just the companionship me and him have gained together.  Even when we have bad days or runs I cant ever get upset with him.  We have learned to work together and become a team.  He is like part of the family, and he knows it.

What is your favorite arena and why is it the one you like the most?

Shrek seems to love to run there, its such a nice facility.

How long have you had the horse you qualified on?

I bought him as a three year old at Oklahoma City.  He is now eight, so five years.

Do you have a favorite song you like to hear before you enter the alley way to make a run?
