Josie and Sunshine Perry will be shining bright in Springfield next week!

Josie Visser from Conklin MI will be riding Sunshine Perry AKA Jess they qualified at Isabella Co Fairgrounds Arena in MI for the

2025 Best of the Best!

What I love most about my horse is, My qualifying horse is named Jess. She is really sweet and laid back and relaxed. She is really pretty and I love her thick tail. She is lots of fun to ride.

How many times have you qualified for the Best of the Best? Last year I qualified and it was lots of fun and a great experience even though I fell off it was still fun to see some new people. This year I am very happy to make it back here again and hope that I can do better and meet new racers! I qualified last year and this year I’m the same horses, Jess. I’m excited to have an amazing time with my mom and sister while we are there!

Tell us what you love about your farm or boarding days with your horses, All of my horses are at my house. We have six horses right now and a baby coming! We have a barn with a feeding room and a smaller barn that we put our pregnant horses in. What I love about where our barn is the arena that I get to practice in. I love being able to walk out our back deck and being able to see all of my babies!

What is your biggest win as a rider? My biggest win on Jess is when I got 3rd at the IBRA State for Michigan in the youth 1d making it possible for me to go to best of the best again! It was lots of fun going last year and we are improving a lot. I was very happy that I finally got the chance to go last year and am even more excited to get to go this year! I am really proud of Jess for doing an amazing job protecting me!

Who is the person who made you the rider you are today? My sister, Holly,  helped me a lot when I got my little pony Rolly. She taught me how to be a better rider and how to properly run the barrel pattern. Holly is probably one of the loudest people cheering for me and is always willing to help me fix the problems I have. Also I have a great group of friends that are very supportive and help me out a ton! But I think that my sister has improved my riding the most and I am really grateful for an amazing sister to help me get better.

Tell us what you are thinking!
