Samantha Swank is a seasoned qualifier, having made it here on Shez Freakn Streakn, Creepin With A Gun, JD Firewater Redneck, and Whiskey. Her résumé is stacked: 1D pole champion at NBHA Youth and Teen World Championships two years in a row, Reserve Congress Champion in the Sr. poles with a 19.8, and a top-5 finish in the BOTB slot race.
The Swanks own their barn, and Samantha spends every hour she can in it — early mornings, late nights, and especially evening rides once it cools off in the summer. Her mom and Mike Thomas both keep her improving and get her down the road. And JD Firewater Redneck is the horse who made her: a four-year-old who’d never seen a barrel or a pole, that she turned into a 19/20-second pole horse and a competitive barrel horse all by herself.
