Well, we said we were changing things up, because that is what we always try to do, bring new changes to the riders and our sport as a whole. This is just a small version of how we will be rolling in to the new year!   With the last OTR show of the year, December seemed like a great time to give everyone a chance at a little Christmas cash for The Holidays with our new REBUY OTR Sidepot

If you are coming to run at the Half Baked Winter Series December show bring a little extra money to sign up for the Christmas Coin Rebuy Sidepot – $45 bucks to be exact. There will be $5000 bucks total up for grabs in the sidepot that will run off of Saturdays Open but with a NEW TWIST!     Have you ever wanted that REDO, MULLIGAN, IF I HAD ONLY LIFTED MY LEG, SAT BACK…. RE RUN well for this sidepot you will have just that.   Yep hence the name REBUY SIDEPOT!

Everyone who knocks or just has a crappy run can REBUY into the Christmas Coin Rebuy Sidepot at the end of the open IF THEY CHOOSE!  It is everyone’s choice – anyone who enters the Christmas Coin Rebuy Sidepot can rebuy for this sidepot.

Poker is like Barrel Racing, it is all a gamble on any given day. In poker, you can buy back in at the end of the tournament to try to stay in the game and win. So when our paths crossed with a phenomenal poker player and his edgy look at winning we couldn’t help but remember, if somebody offers you an opportunity but you are not sure you can do it, say yes – then roll with it and we said “Why Not – 2018 is a new year!”

Here are some details – They are simple so pay attention

• You have to enter and run the Saturday Open
• You have to enter the Christmas Coin Rebuy Sidepot
• Your Open Time rolls from the Saturday Open to the Christmas Coin Rebuy Sidepot
• Your first Run counts for your Saturday Open time and the Christmas Coin Rebuy Sidepot   ———-UNLESS YOU REBUY THEN
• Your REBUY RUN only counts for the Christmas Coin Rebuy Sidepot. The original Open time that was put in the Sidepot will be tossed & your Rebuy time will be entered in – Again the REBUY RUN is for your Sidepot time ONLY!

Why do we call it the Rebuy Sidepot?

If you knock a barrel or have a crappy run you can REBUY back into the class and run at the end of the race.   This is your REDO, MULLIGAN, IF I HAD ONLY RE RUN run.

When do I have to decide if I am Rebuying into the Christmas Coin Rebuy Sidepot ?

At the end of the Open Class – You will have 15 minutes to determine if you are going to REBUY into the Christmas Coin Rebuy Sidepot –  and get to the office and sign up and pay for your 2nd run.  There will then be a 15 min gate call for the 1st REBUY rider. You will be given a Draw Number at that time you enter your REBUY RUN.

OPEN RESULTS AND Christmas Coin Rebuy Sidepot RESULTS WILL BE POSTED IN MINS AFTER THE LAST HORSE RUNS BECAUSE THERE IS A NEW SHERIFF IN TOWN – HERE NAME IS SHERIFF CONKLE! THIS WILL ALLOW YOU TO MAKE A GOOD DECISION IF YOU WANT TO REBUY INTO THE SIDEPOT!

Clea and I understand some will not like the idea and we hope most will – its one more way to take home more money from a show you are already attending. The Open will remain so for those who are set on only running the Open and not adding to their ways to win at the show – No Worries we have that too! It’s all about the contestants and bringing new and exciting things to them for this sport we all love.
