Paris Micco & “Tequila” — Gotta Have Tequila

Two years ago, Tequila suffered an injury that left her with a 30% chance of ever barrel racing again. One year later — only a few months back to work — she qualified Paris Micco for her very first Best of the Best. This year they’re back for the second time in a row.
“This mare is full of heart and grit,” Paris says. Her proudest run is her first-ever 16-second run, made on Tequila at BOTB in 2025.
The Miccos own their own farm and small boarding facility, where Paris is in the barn every day — riding in their arena, heading out onto miles of trails, and swimming the horses in the creek nearby. Her dad is her alley helper and gives her confidence before every run. (And her mom videos every one so she can review after.)
