Sweetest mare in the barn at home. A little spicy at the race. All business when it’s time to run. “It was intimidating when I first started training her,” Kayla Meyer says, “but now I just roll with it, because I know she will do her job when it’s time.”
This is Kayla’s first qualification. She and her husband own property in Sullivan with five horses, and after a full day at her office job she spends the evening in the barn — riding colts is her favorite thing in the world. Her biggest win so far is Reserve Champion in pole bending at the 2024 NBHA World Show on Docshickory Spark.
Her grandpa is the one who sparked it all — a deep understanding of young horses, and most of what she knows today.
