Here is a little more about Heather and Baby Got Black Socks who will be running at the BOTB in August.
Where did you qualify? Val and I qualified at the Tommy Wylie Memorial Show at the WB. We won the Saturday Open Barrels.
Tell us a little about your horse: Baby Got Black Socks is a 5 year old mare by Down Home Dash out of Dash Easy Girl. She was bred by my good friend, Sue Collier and my husband and I purchased her at four months old. She has not been the easiest horse to season and train but she has become the most consistent horse I have ever ran.
Everyone has a favorite place to run, tell us what yours is: I love running at the All American Quarter Horse Congress! There is nothing like coming around the corner by the judges box and running down that alleyway!
Each year we all love to attend a favorite show, what is yours? I love the Rebel Soule! The fairgrounds has this old time feeling to it and the arena has a long alleyway. I have had the best time the two years I have attended this show.
Give us a little more insight about you and your horse: There are four people that greatly inspire me; my Dad, Don Rejc, Cami Cumper, Tommy Gee, and Craig Brooks. All four of them have incredible work ethics and are humble competitors. They are never too busy to answer a phone call or text message and they have been there to celebrate my highs and get me through my lows. They are great people that I truly appreciate having in my life.
On behalf of the Entire Road Crew
BEST OF LUCK AT THE BOTB
