Macyn Balsiger is coming back to Springfield with something to build on — she and Gypsy were 2025 BOTB Reserve Champions. This is her second qualification.

Ask her what she loves about Gypsy and you get the whole list: her personality, her heart, her determination. “I love Gypsy almost as much as my Mom,” Macyn says. “She loves to smile after treats.” Home is a busy place — five horses, 15 chickens, two bunnies and two cats — and Macyn’s favorite part is being able to run to the backyard and see the horses whenever she wants.

Her mom is the person who made her the rider she is. The horse who did? Gypsy.
