“I like that he challenges me and that he never pushes me around like he does everyone else. I love that he’s fast.” Adelyn Johnson has been riding Charger since she was three — he was her parents’ horse first.
She’s qualified three times, but this will only be her second time competing. They didn’t make it to the show in 2025, so she made sure to get back here in 2026. Her biggest win so far is a clean 20-second pole pattern, and her dad is the one who made her the rider she is.
On farm life, Adelyn is refreshingly honest: “I love that my mom feeds the horses for me and I get to sleep in.”
