Avery Roese has been coming to the Best of the Best since she was seven, and she says there have only been a year or two in between that she didn’t qualify. Lemons Native Dancer in the Pee Wee, then Boyd’s Triple Ringer when she stepped up to a faster horse, then CPH Streakin Cardi B, and now Venus.
“The thing I love most about Venus is she will adapt to anything I throw at her and always take care of me.” Her biggest win to date: the 2024 youth slot race at the Best of the Best.
The horses are in her backyard, and she loves it. Her mom pushes her to her fullest potential. And Boyd’s Triple Ringer — “Sheila” — is the mare who helped her step up and carried her to her first big show win at The Rebel Soul in 2019.
