Kimber knows when it’s time to focus — and the second the run is over, she goes right back to her goofy, needy, itchy self. Taylor Phillips wouldn’t change a thing.
This is Taylor’s first time qualifying, and she and Kimber won the Michigan IBRA double points show back in June. The horses are at home, where she loves walking to the backyard and having them meet her at the gate.
Mr. Ed Shaarda has helped her with every horse she’s owned, teaching her the pieces of training that make the whole picture come together. Her parents gave her the opportunities. And Kimber is the horse who grew her horsemanship the most — one of the first she broke out herself, and “man, was she a handful. Looking back four years ago, I would have never guessed she would’ve turned into what she is today.”
Her message: “I’m so excited to have the opportunity to compete against everyone else and cheer them all on!”
