Lexie Stoney & “Ollie” — Fames Frickin Slick
Mansfield, OH · Qualified at The Hollow
Lexie Stoney raised Ollie from a weanling and broke him out herself. Then a bad experience set him back and ruined his shot as a futurity horse. “I almost gave up on him. However, I pushed through, and he is paying me back for all of my effort. He’s showing that he ages like fine wine.”
This is Lexie’s first year qualifying — and she qualified two horses. Her biggest win with Ollie: “clocking with the best, having clean runs, and coming out smiling. Years ago I dreamed of being where we are now.” She gives real credit to Colleen Runion and the rehab program at Triple 777 Ranch, a huge reason Ollie got a second chance at a career.
Her dad Stan is the constant — “he’s showed up to haul me across the country, let me yell at him when I’m angry, and gives me confidence when I lack it.”
Her message: “I am so blessed to be able to stand among the best of the best riders around! Good luck everyone. Praying for clean, safe, and fast runs for all!”
Welcome to the Best of the Best, Lexie.
