Lexie Stoney’s second qualified horse is her steady one. “Mac Daddy is honest and consistent. Same run every time! He makes it fun! You know he’s going to go in the arena and give you a good run.”
This is his first BOTB too. Lexie has had a lot of small victories over the years, but qualifying for the Best of the Best is her favorite. Her horses are home with her on their small farm in the summer and board at Triple 777 Ranch and Rehab in the winter, where she loves the therapy equipment available to her athletes.
Her dad Stan is the one who’s always been there — to rant to, to bounce ideas off, and to restore her confidence when it’s depleted. “If anyone has poured into me and believed in me, it’s him.” And a horse named Eddie, borrowed from a friend a few years back, taught her to go fast and brought back her love for the sport when she was on her last straw.
