“He is such a good boy for me all the time. He’s fun to ride!” Maren Kater has been riding Neiko since she was four years old, and this is their second trip to the Best of the Best. Her goal this year is simple — beat last year’s time.
Her biggest win so far is qualifying for BOTB twice as a Pee Wee rider. She loves that the horses live right in the backyard.
And the person who made her the rider she is? Her mom — “even though I don’t listen to her, she does teach me all the things I need to know.”
